Our History

Blue Cove Properties is a locally-owned and operated real estate sales and property management firm dedicated to providing exceptional service and expertise to property owners and tenants across Oahu. Founded by Shannon Zerfas, who was born and raised on the vibrant island of Oahu, our company embodies the spirit and values of our Hawaiian roots.

Shannon brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Blue Cove Properties. After earning a Bachelor's degree in Economics and later an MBA in Oregon, Shannon honed their skills in operations and finance at the prestigious Nike World Headquarters. Despite thriving in the fast-paced corporate world, Shannon  felt a calling to return home to Oahu to be closer to family and contribute to the local community.

In 2020, Shannon took on the role of team lead at The Prothero Group, a respected real estate team on the island with more than 20-year history. Leveraging her background in economics, finance, and operations, Shannon spearheaded successful real estate transactions, personally conducting over $40 million in sales with over $170 million in team sales history.

Driven by a passion for innovation and a commitment to excellence, Shannon saw an opportunity to expand the services offered by The Prothero Group. In 2024, the team rebranded to Blue Cove Properties and established a dedicated property management branch as an independent brokerage.
